Christian maturity is nurtured by Christian Education. Christ Church provides Christian Education and Christian Formation programs for kids, youth and adults.
Kids
Nursery is available at 10:15 AM for infants through children 3 years of age. It is staffed by a certified CPR/AED/First Aid Trained caregiver. You are welcome to bring your child down at anytime during the 10:30AM service.
Sunday School begins at 10:15 AM for Preschool through 6th grade We are in session during the school year and meet downstairs in All Saint’s Hall. We have classrooms for Preschool through 1st grade and 2nd grade through 6th grade. We use the Sparks: Activate Faith Curriculum which is based on the Lectionary of the day. We use ageappropriate
Bibles, activities and music to enhance the lessons. Children join their families for Communion in church.
We celebrate the seasons of the Church throughout the year with a variety of activities such as an Easter craft party and egg hunt and a Christmas Pageant.
Youth
Youth Group for 7th through 12th grade children meets after the 10:30 AM service every other Sunday. You will find us downstairs in All Saints Hall. Using Faith Lens, we connect the daily Lectionary to our every day lives and the world around us. We also participate in service projects such as Spotsylvania Community Clean Up Day and stuffing stockings for area shut-ins. We have also taken trips to the Washington National Cathedral and Lewis Genter Botanical Gardens Light Fest.
Adults
Sunday Spiritualty Discussion
Sundays 9:15 am to 10:00 am in-person in the Great Hall and via Zoom (Meeting ID: 934 0415 9332, Passcode: 863063).
Our Spirituality Discussion Group meets every Sunday to discuss books on spirituality, scripture, social justice, or our Episcopal tradition. Discussions are often free-flowing and touch on a number of issues and topics. Check the calendar for details.
Bible Study
Wednesdays at 7:00 pm on Zoom ( Meeting ID: 983 6645 9550, Passcode: 823278).
You do not need to have joined us for our previous studies to join us this year. All are welcome regardless of familiarity with scripture. We laugh a lot and learn a lot.
