Striving to bring the light of Christ to the world

What We Do:

The Outreach Commission of Christ Church supports parish ministries that serve our local community and beyond. These ministries are funded through the church budget, by the generous donations of members of the parish along with small grants from the Diocese and outside organizations, such as the Catholic Diocese of Arlington. At present the Commission supports two major programs: our Food Pantry and Thrift Shop.

Food Pantry

The Christ Church Food Pantry is open on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month and operates out of the lower level of All Saints Hall. Our all-volunteer Food Pantry serves 80 to 110 families twice a month. We provide basic grocery items as well as fresh fruits and vegetables, meats and bread. The Christ Church Food Pantry is a member of the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank and also administers two federal food programs: Food for Life and USDA food distribution.

Thrift Shop

The Thrift Shop serves our local community with gently used clothing, household items, furniture, etc. Our all-volunteer staff operates the shop Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Items can be dropped off during working hours. We can schedule pick up for large items by calling (540) 582-5508. All donations are tax deductible.
