Welcome From Our Rector

After 17 years of dedicated and loving service, Fr Jeff has left Christ Church. He has relocated to his home town of State College, PA, where he will serve as rector to his boyhood church. We are in the process of finding a new pastor. Please look at our Transition Information page for updates.

Greetings in the Name of Christ!

I’m glad you found your way to our website.
Whether you are looking for a new church home, or a way to get more involved with your community, or if you are just curious, I welcome you.

My family and I have been at Christ Church since the Fall of 2000. In that time, I have
found this to be a community of faithful and committed Christians who express their
faith through worship, outreach, and fellowship. I invite you to come and visit us for a worship service if you haven’t already. You’ll find a very traditional service that is offered in a relaxed manner. The Episcopal Church is part of the larger Anglican Communion—all of the churches historically associated with the Church of England. Part of our inheritance is our tradition of worship which focuses on the divine presence and cultivates an experience of holiness. We take our worship seriously, but ourselves not too much!

Outreach to the surrounding community is a defining characteristic of Christ Church.
Our two premier ministries are the twice a month Food Pantry we offer our neighbors
in need and the Christ Church Thrift Shop. You may not think of a thrift shop as an
outreach ministry, but come in to shop and you’ll be welcomed like one of the family.
The sense of community between our workers and our shoppers is a powerful witness to
God’s love.

Come and see if God has something in store for you at Christ Church. You’ll find a
group of people who don’t claim to have it all figured out, but who are committed to
walking a journey of faith together humbly seeking God’s help along the way.

Fr. Jeff
