Adult Forum Series: Good Book Club Bible Study group Sundays 9:15 AM (Sept – June) in the Great Hall. We’re discussing Paul’s letter to the Romans.

Youth Group meets the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month (Sept – June) at 12:00 downstairs in ASH in room 6/7.

January 17 Diocesan Listening Session 6:00 – 8:00 pm, ASH.  We are hosting the first of five Listening Sessions to be held around the diocese. Ours will be the only one held in this part of the Diocese. Bishop Goff and other Diocesan representatives would like to hear your thoughts and ideas about the future course for the Diocese, especially during this time of transition before we start a search for our new Diocesan Bishop.

January 20 Annual Parish Meeting and Potluck Lunch, ASH following the 10:30 service. Three new Vestry Members will be elected.  Please come to this all important meeting

January 27, Bishop’s Visit for Confirmations

February 15 Youth Group Inter-generational Game Night, 7:00 – 9:00 pm, ASH. Bring your favorite board/card games and teach someone a new trick!

March 5, Shrove Tuesday Pancake and Chili Supper 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. ASH. Tickets are $7 for individuals and $25/family.

May 11 & May 12, Rappahannock Choral Society 2019 Spring Concert. Music from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Aaron Copeland. Performances: May 11 @7:30 and May 12 @ 3:00 Chancellor High School, 6300 Harrison Rd, Spotsy. Our own McKenzie Goldberg will be singing!

May 19, Recital Joan Gurniak and Roy Smith will present a recital at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.  It will include pieces by Bach, Barber, Chopin, Debussy, Faure, Gershwin and Scarlatti.  Admission is free.

May 12, Mother’s Day Episcopal Church Men will give flowers to all “Moms” on Mother’s Day after Sunday services. Special “Tea Fellowship” will follow the 10:30 service. Please bring your favorite tea cup.

May 21, ECW trip to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Richmond. The day will include a tour of this beautiful church, which is situated across from the State Capitol building. A lunch at a local restaurant will follow. For more information, please contact Debbie Garland at

June 2, Father Daniel, our new Rector, celebrates mass at Christ Church! Please join us.

June 16, Father’s Day Please join us for a special Fellowship following the 10:30 service and hosted by ECW to honor all of the fathers in the parish.

June 29, Flying Squirrels baseball game. First pitch is at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $11 a person. Our group will be seated on the field level. If you’re interested in attending, please respond to Lindsey Bates at or 540.834.9953.  Your RSVP with names and payment are due no later than June 14th.

June 29, Stars and Stripes Spectacular 3:00 to 10:00 Spotsy Courthouse Area. Join your family, friends and neighbors for this hometown, all-day family event. Come for the music, come for the food or come for the fireworks!

December 1 Spotsylvania Christmas Parade 1:00 p.m. Episcopal Church Men will sell hot chocolate, burgers and hot dogs at the Parade. Santa will be there!

December 2 Courthouse Christmas Luminary 4:45 p.m. Marshall Center. Come enjoy this outdoor celebration as the candles are lit at dusk and the area Choirs begin to sing.  Bring your blanket and your warm gloves and let the spirit warm your heart.

December 15 Blue Christmas: A service of comfort and joy 7:00 p.m. Although Christmas is a joyous time of year, many of us may not feel that way right now. Grief and suffering respect no season. Please join us for a different kind of service.

December 17 ECW Caroling at Chancellor’s Village 10:00 a.m. A very special event for both our members and the residents of Chancellor’s Village. Please join us as we share Christmas joy through music. We will deliver handmade ornaments and serenade the residents with Christmas carols. Voices needed!
