An evening with great friends, great food, and great fun is just around the corner, as we prepare to celebrate Christ Church's very own harvest festival, on Sunday, October 24th!
The festivities will begin at the 10:30 service, with a blessing of food pantry donations and UTO offerings that parishioners will lay before the altar. The church and ASH will be decorated with the glorious colors of autumn, and the traditional "fruits of the harvest;" and we will sing lots of harvest-themed hymns in gratitude for The Lord's bountiful gifts.
The festival will begin in earnest at 5:00 PM, with a potluck dinner, accompanied by musical entertainment. Following a splendid meal with delightful conversation, there will be live music, children's games with prizes, (as well as a few games for the "young-at-heart!"); and possibly a costume parade by the little ones, among many other fun activities.
So, please mark your calendar. You won't want to miss this exciting event!
