4PM Sunday, March 6: Bob Milne. $25/ticket

 

Bob Milne is considered to be the best ragtime/boogie-woogie pianist in the world. He was filmed and documented for future generations in 2004 at the Library of Congress, and was declared a “National Treasure” at the conclusion. Of his art, Bob says: “If I have been given any ability at all it, is my duty to honor it by trying to improve that ability every time I perform.” www.bobmilne.com

 

4PM Sunday, April 10: Chamber Chorale of Fredericksburg, $15/ticket

 

The Chamber Chorale of Fredericksburg was founded in 1988 as a small ensemble dedicated to performing high-quality choral music in a wide variety of styles for the cultural enrichment of the community. From a capella singing to major chamber works with orchestra, this 24-voice group has been noted for its fine tuning, blended tone, wide range in dynamics, and expressive diversity. The theme is Music From the Civil War.

4PM Sunday, May 1: Dixie Power Trio. $25 a ticket

 

The Dixie Power Trio is a four-piece group dedicated to the music and sounds of Louisiana. Formed in 1992, the band (led by tubist Andy Kochenour and cornet/accordionist Zack Smith) has spent the last decade performing for audiences in clubs, concerts, and schools.  The group is based in Fredericksburg, VA and has toured extensively throughout the U.S. They play a gumbo of different styles including zydeco, Cajun, New Orleans jazz, funk, street parade, and rock.

Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary calls Jack the “best guitarist in America.” You’ll recognize Ronny from dozens of TV shows and movies, notably Deliverance and Beverly Hills Cop.
