The Food Pantry could use your help.  On Tuesday, August 24th, our volunteers served 82 families!  You can help by: donating peanut butter, tuna or cereal; donating school supplies, and contacting some local grocery stores to see if they can donate paper bags.  Contact Kelli White at ellirad2002@Yahoo.com for more ideas on how you can help. The pantry is open on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 10 AM to noon. Thanks to those who have already donated these items and their time.

Yoga Class Time Change:  Note that beginning Wednesday, September 1st, classes will begin at 8:30 and end at 9:30 AM. Please join us in the Great Hall for a truly beneficial healthy experience.

Christ Church extends deep appreciation to Kim Hoffman for making it possible for our recently paved parking lot to look even more “professional” by having the parking spaces striped and the lower part of our lot re-sealed.  Thank you, Kim and God bless you!

Cheryl Moynahan is back as manager of the Thrift Shop and has merchandise moving in and out.  She has hired an assistant manager but is in need of a second.  This is a paid position.  If interested, please contact Cheryl at (540) 972-1891 or at cmoyn1117@aol.com.  Volunteers are especially needed on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. If you can help during those days or anytime, please contact Cheryl.  Your volunteer time translates directly into revenue for the parish.

We need volunteers to assist with trimming the grass. Special thanks to Al Daniels for cutting our lawn weekly.  If you can help trim or “edge” along our sidewalks, just show up, during the coolest part of these “dog days” and begin work. Your time/efforts are really appreciated.

The Christ Church family offers its sympathy to Ed and Ruby Strysko on the death of their daughter-in-law, Jaime, on August 24th.  “May her soul and the souls of all the departed, by the mercy of God, rest in peace.
